Dr. Karter is a Connecticut native, raised in Woodbury, Connecticut. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Bridgeport, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He attended medical school at The State University of New York at Buffalo where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was an inductee in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Connecticut. There he developed a passion for facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He completed his AAFPRS accredited fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the auspices of Dr. Phillip R. Langsdon, current president elect of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. There he refined his abilities and gained expertise in facial aesthetic surgery, specializing in surgical and non-surgical enhancement of the aging face.

He is passionate about facial aesthetics and enjoys sharing that passion with his patients and his community. He strives to give each patient an individualized, unique experience, tailored to their personal goals. His aims to create a warm, welcoming environment where patients discover, are inspired, and grow.

Dr. Karter also performs functional and reconstructive surgery of the face, specializing in functional nasal surgery and Mohs reconstruction. He is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and fellowship trained in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
